As you know updating your I-Series IBM Server's PTFs to the latest version can be a long and expensive process. The PTF updates for your server need to be performed monthly in order for your server to maintain its optimum performance. Because this process can be quite lengthy, most people simply disregard it. However, many of our customers prefer to have SET routinely visit them onsite to perform this time consuming process. To alleviate the cost of having SET perform these updates onsite and to allow those who disregard these updates because of the lengthy process, SET is announcing our new IBM PTF service. This service will allow SET to automatically update your server remotely during your district’s off peak hours. With this service you won’t have to worry about these updates.  This service includes SET performing your monthly updates on your I-Series server and if necessary onsite installation of a netbook SET will use to facilitate the process.

 

This service is for the download and installation of IBM SYSTEM PTF’s as determined by connecting to the IBM I-Series iPTF system. These PTFs depend on an active SWMA (Software Maintenance Agreement) contract between IBM and the customer. SET will connect to the server using GoToMyPC, a licensed connection software, and a computer to provide off-site technical services. GoToMyPC and any necessary netbook will be maintained and owned by SET.
